Finally, I’ve got a good fish tale to share with you! This week I hooked myself the biggest snook I’ve ever caught in my life as a PB.

Went out in the yak for a couple hours on my day off and that’s when it happened in Old Tampa Bay.
Getting it to the kayak took a solid 10 minutes of wrestling with this gal, and she didn’t go down without a fight. The snook kept trying to swim into structures and get away, I credit the new Pelican Catch 130 HD, as I don’t think this would have happened in the smaller Eddyline.
Been trying out various artificial bait, but the Vudu Shrimp so far have netted me the best success in getting hits on my line.
On this same outing, I did catch a few smaller snook using the bait.
Did you know that snook actually change from male to female as they mature? Wild, isn’t it? Most large snook are female.
Hope you’re having a good one and thanks for stopping by!
